In an article in the newspaper BT yesterday, an Imam asks whether the Muslims in Denmark have now lost their Queen.
His question is a response to Queen Margaret’s statement that immigrants need to adapt to Danish values.
The answer to the Imam’s question is: No.
Muslims have not lost their Queen. Terrorists and killers of innocent people have lost their Queen. And those who are a part of the community and society but don’t respect it or consider it their own.
The Imam’s comment is counterproductive and just adds fuel to the fire. Instead the fire must be extinguished.
The Latin proverb reads : “Nec est ullum magnum malum praeter culpam ” – “ The greatest sin is evil “ .
Whether you are more or less religious, we must all recognize the same evil in the same way and should all look at it from the same standpoint. There must only be a division of the “ them “ (terrorists) and “us “ (all the others).
Terrorism is not the Danish Muslim’s choice and their voice against violence should be heard. The religious officials’ task , disregarding the religion they belong to, is the promotion of basic religious principles of philanthropy and condemnation of unbelievers in humanity.
So none of us have lost the Queen!
