Nuclear resistance rises

Tuesday 26th April was the 25th anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The plant's reactor melted down and made nuclear power unpopular in most of the world.

Since then nuclear power has had a comeback following the focusing on climate changes. But with the accident at Fukushima power plant in Japan, nuclear power has again become unpopular.

That's the case in Denmark too - where 40 percent of the Danes according to a new poll from Megafon says 'no' to nuclear power. Only 7 percent says 'yes'. The rest can not decide on one or the other.

Two years ago only 31 percent of the Danes said 'no'.
