“If there was a Danish family I could be close to, my life could be much better”

“I came to Denmark six years ago and I got residency two years ago. I go to school and I got a new practice in Føtex (a supermarket), but I don’t like it because no one is talking to me there. I like to be friendly and social, but it is hard in Føtex. The Kommune gave me this practice because they think it will help me to learn the language. But no one talk there. I am alone and far from my family. This is six years and it make this period very hard. If I had some good friends it could be easier. I really love to be friends with Danish people. I am shy, so it is hard for me to just go and say hello and start talking. All the time I am thinking if there was a Danish family I could be close to, my life could be much better.”
